Push clamps make use of a solid plunger to apply clamping force in a straight line away from the clamp base.  Push style clamps differ from Pull and Push/Pull styles in that they are designed to lock in the extended position only. Most Push style clamps have an internally threaded plunger and can be fitted with a threaded spindle for adjustment.
